Nope, it’s not the North Pole; it’s “The Anderson Christmas Lights”
Although the name has changed, the annual light show has been illuminating Anderson, South Carolina during the holidays with its drive thru display of over a million multi-colored lights for 21 years.
The Anderson Christmas Lights is an annual tradition that has become a regional attraction during the holiday season over the past 22 years. Many of our visitors are repeat visitors, and the arrangement of the lights changes every year.
The lights have become a tradition in families all over the area for many years. Hundreds of dedicated volunteers turn the park into a fantasy of lights every year, enchanting children and adults of all ages. The park hosted over 49,000 cars of visitors in 2013 and hopes to continue to increase that number.
This year, the Santa Lodge will continue to improve with the assistance of Home Depot and volunteers from the area’s construction classes. Visit the Santa’s Village page for more details.
Many people desire to join our team at Anderson Christmas Lights and volunteer to help spread Christmas cheer. With thousands of hours going into Anderson Christmas Lights each year, we invite everyone to help out if they want to. If you have a charitable heart and a loving spirit then you have everything we need from volunteers at the Anderson Christmas Lights. Please find out more here at our volunteers page, and we hope to see you working with us to spread joy across the Upstate.
The gate proceeds are donated to local area charities, that will help make it possible for hundreds of children and adults in the Anderson community to receive life-changing services.
